Customers who have downloaded and installed any of the Octopus Server versions listed below (“Details”) are affected.

Please upgrade your Octopus Server immediately to fix this vulnerability.

Customers who have upgraded Octopus Server to version 2023.1.9687 or higher are not affected.

Details

In affected versions of Octopus Deploy it is possible for a user to view Tagsets without being explicitly assigned permissions to view these items.

The versions of Octopus Server affected by this vulnerability are:

  • All 2019.x, 2020.x and 2021.x versions
  • All 2022.1.x and 2022.2.x versions
  • All 2022.3.x versions before 2022.3.11098
  • All 2022.4.x versions before 2022.4.8463
  • All 2023.1.x versions before 2023.1.9672
  • All 2023.2.x versions before 2023.2.2394

As of the 13/03/2023 Octopus Server version 2023.2.x is only available on Octopus Cloud.

  • 2022.4.8463
  • 2023.1.9672
  • 2023.2.2394

Octopus Deploy recommends that you upgrade to the latest version (2023.1.9687). You can download the latest version of Octopus Server from https://octopus.com/downloads
