Resolution
HP has provided an updated firmware resolution for potentially affected products listed in the table below.
To obtain the updated firmware, go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads, and then search for your printer model.
In order to help address this potential vulnerability, update your printer firmware and set up your device to require administrator authentication for accessing Job Queue web pages by following these steps:
Enable access control by setting up an administrator password.
Open the Embedded Web Server’s (EWS) security settings page (), and then click To enable access control you must set the administrator user account.
Enter a new password, and then click Set account.
Restrict access to Job Queue web pages to the administrator only.
Open the Embedded Web Server’s (EWS) security settings page (), select the checkbox Require the administrator password to access job-queue Web pages, and then click Modify.
