Today, we concluded an investigation into a misconfiguration of an internal customer support database used for Microsoft support case analytics. While the investigation found no malicious use, and although most customers did not have personally identifiable information exposed, we want to be transparent about this incident with all customers and reassure them that we are taking it very seriously and holding ourselves accountable.

Vulnerability in the Oracle WebLogic Server product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: WLS Core Components). The supported version that is affected is 10.3.6.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle WebLogic Server. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle WebLogic Server, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle WebLogic Server accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle WebLogic Server accessible data. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 4.8 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N).

Following the first Security Researcher Quarterly Leaderboard we published in October 2019, we are excited to announce the MSRC Q4 2019 Security Researcher Leaderboard, which shows the top contributing researchers for the last quarter. A logic issue was addressed with improved state management. This issue is fixed in watchOS 6.1. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to universal cross site scripting.

An authentication issue was addressed with improved state management. This issue is fixed in macOS Mojave 10.14.5. A user may be unexpectedly logged in to another user’s account.
