April 2015 Updates

Today, as part of Update Tuesday, we released 11 security bulletins. We encourage customers to apply all of these updates. EMET 5.2 is available (update)

Today, we’re releasing the Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET) 5.2, which includes increased security protections to improve your security posture. You can download EMET 5.2 from microsoft.com/emet or directly from here. Following is the list of the main changes and improvements: Control Flow Guard: EMET’s native DLLs have been compiled with Control Flow Guard (CFG).

March 2015 Updates

Today, as part of Update Tuesday, we released 14 security bulletins to address vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange, and Internet Explorer. CVE-2015-0063

Microsoft Excel 2007 SP3; the proofing tools in Office 2010 SP2; Excel 2010 SP2; Excel 2013 Gold, SP1, and RT; Excel Viewer; and Office Compatibility Pack SP3 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted Office document, aka "Excel Remote Code Execution Vulnerability."

MS15-011 & MS15-014: Hardening Group Policy

Today we are releasing MS15-011 & MS15-014 which harden group policy and address network access vulnerabilities that can be used to achieve remote code execution (RCE) in domain networks. The MS15-014 update addresses an issue in Group Policy update which can be used to disable client-side global SMB Signing requirements, bypassing an existing security feature built into the product.

February 2015 Updates

Today, as part of Update Tuesday, we released nine security bulletins– three rated Critical and six rated Important in severity, to address 56 unique Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Server software. XML external entity vulnerability in the Extended Computer Aided Test Tool (eCATT) in SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.31 and earlier allows remote attackers to access arbitrary files via a crafted XML request, related to ECATT_DISPLAY_XMLSTRING_REMOTE, aka SAP Note 2016638.

CVE-2015-0391: Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - January 2015

Unspecified vulnerability in Oracle MySQL Server 5.5.38 and earlier, and 5.6.19 and earlier, allows remote authenticated users to affect availability via vectors related to DDL.

CVE-2015-0395: Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - January 2015
