Resolution
HP has provided firmware updates to resolve the issue for the potentially affected products listed in the table below.
To obtain the updated firmware listed below, go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads and search for your printer model.
For devices still pending firmware, the issue may be mitigated. The devices should be secured to allow only authorized individuals access to the printers.
Removable HDDs in the printer should be secured and stored during the times when the device cannot be actively monitored in accordance with applicable physical asset security policies. Firmware patches to resolve the potential vulnerability for the remaining products are being actively worked on and will be available within 90 days.
