Contec FXA3200 version 1.13 and under were discovered to contain a hard coded hash password for root stored in the component /etc/shadow. As the password strength is weak, it can be cracked in few minutes. Through this credential, a malicious actor can access the Wireless LAN Manager interface and open the telnet port then sniff the traffic or inject any malware.

This product has a built-in antenna in the housing, and is a compact access point that takes into consideration the installation environment and aesthetics, and simultaneously uses IEEE 802.11ac / n / a (5GHz band) and IEEE 802.11n / b / g (2.4GHz band). The IEEE802.11ac setting uses MIMO 80MHz bandwidth to achieve ultra-high speed communication with a theoretical value of 1300Mbps.
