If a user were tricked into opening a specially crafted website in a browsing context, an attacker could potentially exploit these to cause a denial of service, obtain sensitive information, bypass security restrictions, cross-site tracing, or execute arbitrary code. P Umar Farooq discovered that Thunderbird did not properly provide warning when opening Diagcab files. If a user were tricked into opening a malicious Diagcab file, an attacker could execute arbitrary code.

Memory safety bugs present in Firefox 113, Firefox ESR 102.11, and Thunderbird 102.12. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 102.12, Firefox < 114, and Thunderbird < 102.12.
