### Summary This issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2023-40590. On Windows, GitPython uses an untrusted search path if it uses a shell to run `git`, as well as when it runs `bash.exe` to interpret hooks. If either of those features are used on Windows, a malicious `git.exe` or `bash.exe` may be run from an untrusted repository. ### Details Although GitPython often avoids executing programs found in an untrusted search path since 3.1.33, two situations remain where this still occurs. Either can allow arbitrary code execution under some circumstances. #### When a shell is used GitPython can be told to run `git` commands through a shell rather than as direct subprocesses, by passing `shell=True` to any method that accepts it, or by both setting `Git.USE_SHELL = True` and not passing `shell=False`. Then the Windows `cmd.exe` shell process performs the path search, ad GitPython does not prevent that shell from finding and running `git` in the current directory. When Git...
### Impact A path traversal vulnerability was discovered in go-git versions prior to `v5.11`. This vulnerability allows an attacker to create and amend files across the filesystem. In the worse case scenario, remote code execution could be achieved. Applications are only affected if they are using the [ChrootOS](https://pkg.go.dev/github.com/go-git/go-billy/v5/osfs#ChrootOS), which is the default when using "Plain" versions of Open and Clone funcs (e.g. PlainClone). Applications using [BoundOS](https://pkg.go.dev/github.com/go-git/go-billy/v5/osfs#BoundOS) or in-memory filesystems are not affected by this issue. This is a `go-git` implementation issue and does not affect the upstream `git` cli. ### Patches Users running versions of `go-git` from `v4` and above are recommended to upgrade to `v5.11` in order to mitigate this vulnerability. ### Workarounds In cases where a bump to the latest version of `go-git` is not possible in a timely manner, we recommend limiting its use to only t...
### Impact _What kind of vulnerability is it? Who is impacted?_ All versions of CRI-O running on cgroupv2 nodes. Unchecked access to an experimental annotation allows a container to be unconfined. Back in 2021, [support was added](https://github.com/cri-o/cri-o/pull/4479) to support an experimental annotation that allows a user to request special resources in cgroupv2. It was supposed to be gated by an experimental annotation: `io.kubernetes.cri-o.UnifiedCgroup`, which was supposed to be filtered from the [list of allowed annotations](https://github.com/cri-o/cri-o/blob/main/pkg/config/workloads.go#L103-L107) . However, there is a bug in this code which allows any user to specify this annotation, regardless of whether it's enabled on the node. The consequences of this are a pod can specify any amount of memory/cpu and get it, circumventing the kubernetes scheduler, and potentially be able to DOS a node. ### Patches _Has the problem been patched? What versions should users upgrade to?...
### Summary An authenticated and unauthorized user can access the GDPR data extraction feature and query over the information returned, leading to customer data exposure. ### Details Permissions do not seem to be enforced when reaching the `/admin/customermanagementframework/gdpr-data/search-data-objects` endpoint allowing an authenticated user without the permissions to access the endpoint and query the data available there. It seems that the access control is not enforced in this place : <https://github.com/pimcore/customer-data-framework/blob/b4af625ef327c58d05ef7cdf145fa749d2d4195e/src/Controller/Admin/GDPRDataController.php#L38> ### PoC In order to reproduce the issue, the following steps can be followed: 1. As an administrator : a. Create a role without any permission through Settings → User & Roles → Roles in the administration panel b. Create an user through Settings → User & Roles → Users and assign it the unprivileged role previously created 2. Log out the current a...

### Summary An authenticated and unauthorized user can access the back-office orders list and be able to query over the information returned. ### Details Permissions do not seem to be enforced when reaching the `admin/ecommerceframework/admin-order/list` endpoint allowing an authenticated user without the permissions to access the endpoint and query the data available there. It seems that the access control is not enforced in this place : <https://github.com/pimcore/ecommerce-framework-bundle/blob/ff6ff287b6eb468bb940909c56970363596e5c21/src/Controller/AdminOrderController.php#L98> __Note__ : Testing this vulnerability requires a fully configured ecommerce website, but it looks vulnerable as when requesting the endpoint the data seem returned (and when looking at the source code nothing seems to validate the permissions on the specified endpoint). ### PoC In order to reproduce the issue, the following steps can be followed : 1. As an administrator : a. Create a role without an...
An attacker can cause its peer to run out of memory sending a large number of PATH_CHALLENGE frames. The receiver is supposed to respond to each PATH_CHALLENGE frame with a PATH_RESPONSE frame. The attacker can prevent the receiver from sending out (the vast majority of) these PATH_RESPONSE frames by collapsing the peers congestion window (by selectively acknowledging received packets) and by manipulating the peer's RTT estimate. I published a more detailed description of the attack and its mitigation in this blog post: https://seemann.io/posts/2023-12-18-exploiting-quics-path-validation/ There's no way to mitigate this attack, please update quic-go to a version that contains the fix.
Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition') vulnerability in Apache Answer. This issue affects Apache Answer: through 1.2.0. Under normal circumstances, a user can only bookmark a question once, and will only increase the number of questions bookmarked once. However, repeat submissions through the script can increase the number of collection of the question many times. Users are recommended to upgrade to version [1.2.1], which fixes the issue.
### Impact When verifying W3C Format Verifiable Credentials using JSON-LD with Linked Data Proofs (LDP-VCs), the result of verifying the presentation `document.proof` was not factored into the final `verified` value (`true`/`false`) on the presentation record. Below is an example result from verifying a JSON-LD Presentation where there is an error noted in the processing (mismatched challenge), but the overall result is incorrectly `"verified": true`: ```json { "verified": true, "presentation_result": { "verified": false, "document": { "@context": [ "https://www.w3.org/2018/credentials/v1" ], "type": [ "VerifiablePresentation" ], "verifiableCredential": [ { "@context": [ "https://www.w3.org/2018/credentials/v1", "https://w3id.org/citizenship/v1" ], "type": [ "VerifiableCredential", "PermanentResident" ], "issuer": "did:sov...
# Microsoft Security Advisory CVE-2024-21319: .NET Denial of Service Vulnerability ## <a name="executive-summary"></a>Executive summary Microsoft is releasing this security advisory to provide information about a vulnerability in the ASP.NET Core project templates. This advisory also provides guidance on what developers can do to update their applications to address this vulnerability. A Denial of Service vulnerability exists in ASP.NET Core project templates which utilize JWT-based authentication tokens. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated client to consume arbitrarily large amounts of server memory, potentially triggering an out-of-memory condition on the server and making the server no longer able to respond to legitimate requests. ## Announcement Announcement for this issue can be found at https://github.com/dotnet/announcements/issues/290 ### <a name="mitigation-factors"></a>Mitigation factors This impacts only .NET Core-based projects that were created using any...
