GHSA-534c-hcr7-67jg: Kimai has an XXE Leading to Local File Read

### Summary Kimai uses [PHPSpreadsheet](https://github.com/PHPOffice/PhpSpreadsheet) for importing and exporting invoices. Recently, a [CVE](https://github.com/PHPOffice/PhpSpreadsheet/security/advisories/GHSA-ghg6-32f9-2jp7) was identified in PHPSpreadsheet, which could lead to an XXE vulnerability. ### Details Exploitation requires an Administrator account, allowing the upload of an `XLSX` template containing the payload. The vulnerability is triggered by the following code snippet: ```php // https://github.com/kimai/kimai/blob/b1903ba18359be16dd32ea9c40377c486498f082/src/Invoice/Renderer/AbstractSpreadsheetRenderer.php#L41 public function render(InvoiceDocument $document, InvoiceModel $model): Response { $spreadsheet = IOFactory::load($document->getFilename()); $worksheet = $spreadsheet->getActiveSheet(); $entries = $model->getCalculator()->getEntries(); $sheetReplacer = $model->toArray(); $invoiceItemCount = \count($entries); if ($invoiceItemCount > 1) {...

GHSA-wc36-9694-f9rf: vLLM Denial of Service via the best_of parameter

A vulnerability was found in the ilab model serve component, where improper handling of the best_of parameter in the vllm JSON web API can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS). The API used for LLM-based sentence or chat completion accepts a best_of parameter to return the best completion from several options. When this parameter is set to a large value, the API does not handle timeouts or resource exhaustion properly, allowing an attacker to cause a DoS by consuming excessive system resources. This leads to the API becoming unresponsive, preventing legitimate users from accessing the service.

GHSA-w2r7-9579-27hf: vLLM denial of service vulnerability

A flaw was found in the vLLM library. A completions API request with an empty prompt will crash the vLLM API server, resulting in a denial of service.

GHSA-rw5h-g8xq-6877: Wire UI has a JS XSS Vulnerability on route /wireui/button?label=Content

### Summary A potential Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the `/wireui/button` endpoint, specifically through the `label` query parameter. Malicious actors could exploit this vulnerability by injecting JavaScript into the `label` parameter, leading to the execution of arbitrary code in the victim's browser. ### Details The `/wireui/button` endpoint dynamically renders button labels based on user-provided input via the `label` query parameter. Due to insufficient sanitization or escaping of this input, an attacker can inject malicious JavaScript. The following URL demonstrates the vulnerability: ``` https://wireui.dev/wireui/button?label=Cancel&1%25%7ds8dk0%3E%3Cscript%3Ealert(1)%3C/script%3Ez1qt3=1 ``` By crafting such a request, an attacker can inject arbitrary code that will be executed by the browser when the endpoint is accessed. ### Proof of Concept (PoC) To demonstrate the vulnerability, visit the following URL: ``` /wireui/button?label=<script>...

Microsoft Windows TOCTOU Local Privilege Escalation

CVE-2024-30088 is a Windows kernel elevation of privilege vulnerability which affects many recent versions of Windows 10, Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022. The vulnerability exists inside the function called AuthzBasepCopyoutInternalSecurityAttributes specifically when the kernel copies the _AUTHZBASEP_SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES_INFORMATION of the current token object to user mode. When the kernel performs the copy of the SecurityAttributesList, it sets up the list of the SecurityAttributes structure directly to the user supplied pointed. It then calls RtlCopyUnicodeString and AuthzBasepCopyoutInternalSecurityAttributeValues to copy out the names and values of the SecurityAttribute leading to multiple Time Of Check Time Of Use (TOCTOU) vulnerabilities in the function.

WordPress LiteSpeed Cache Cookie Theft

This Metasploit module exploits an unauthenticated account takeover vulnerability in LiteSpeed Cache, a WordPress plugin that currently has around 6 million active installations. In LiteSpeed Cache versions prior to 6.5.0.1, when the Debug Logging feature is enabled, the plugin will log admin cookies to the /wp-content/debug.log endpoint which is accessible without authentication. The Debug Logging feature in the plugin is not enabled by default. The admin cookies found in the debug.log can be used to upload and execute a malicious plugin containing a payload.

Ubuntu Security Notice USN-7001-2

Ubuntu Security Notice 7001-2 - USN-7001-1 fixed vulnerabilities in xmltol library. This update provides the corresponding updates for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Shang-Hung Wan discovered that Expat, contained within the xmltok library, did not properly handle certain function calls when a negative input length was provided. An attacker could use this issue to cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code.
