Microsoft released its monthly security update Tuesday, disclosing 83 vulnerabilities across the company’s hardware and software line, including seven critical issues in Windows’ point-to-point tunneling protocol.  October's security update features 11 critical vulnerabilities, with the remainder being “important.”   One of the most notable vulnerabilities Microsoft fixed this month is CVE-2022-41038, a remote code execution issue in Microsoft SharePoint. Microsoft released its monthly security update Tuesday, disclosing 83 vulnerabilities across the company’s hardware and software line.

Metro UI v4.4.0 to v4.5.0 was discovered to contain a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability via the Javascript function.

This type of exploit is sometimes referred to as Arbitrary Code Execution (ACE). The attack itself is carried out locally. For example, when the score indicates that the **Attack Vector** is **Local** and **User Interaction** is **Required**, this could describe an exploit in which an attacker, through social engineering, convinces a victim to download and open a specially crafted file from a website which leads to a local attack on their computer.
