CVE-2021-34538

Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting. While the vulnerability is in Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting. Apache Hive before 3.1.3 `CREATE` and `DROP` function operations do not check for necessary authorization of involved entities in the query. It was found that an unauthorized user can manipulate an existing UDF without having the privileges to do so. This allowed unauthorized or underprivileged users to drop and recreate UDFs pointing them to new jars that could be potentially malicious.
