- openvswitch: Ethernet virtual switch
Details:
David Marchand discovered that Open vSwitch incorrectly handled IP packets
with the protocol set to 0. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue
to cause a denial of service.
Update instructions:
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

openvswitch-common 3.0.3-0ubuntu0.22.10.3
python3-openvswitch 3.0.3-0ubuntu0.22.10.3
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS:
openvswitch-common 2.17.5-0ubuntu0.22.04.2
python3-openvswitch 2.17.5-0ubuntu0.22.04.2
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS:
openvswitch-common 2.13.8-0ubuntu1.2
python3-openvswitch 2.13.8-0ubuntu1.2
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS:
openvswitch-common 2.9.8-0ubuntu0.18.04.5
python-openvswitch 2.9.8-0ubuntu0.18.04.5

This issue results (for both kernel and userspace datapath) in installing a datapath flow matching all IP protocols (nw_proto is wildcarded) for this flow, but with an incorrect action, possibly causing incorrect handling of other IP packets with a != 0 IP protocol that matches this dp flow.
