CVE-2021-0126: INTEL-SA-00519

Improper input validation for the Intel(R) Manageability Commander before version 2.2 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via adjacent access.

CVE-2022-20758: Cisco Security Advisory: Cisco IOS XR Software Border Gateway Protocol Ethernet VPN Denial of Service Vulnerability

A vulnerability in the implementation of the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) Ethernet VPN (EVPN) functionality in Cisco IOS XR Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition. This vulnerability is due to the incorrect processing of a BGP update message that contains specific EVPN attributes. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a BGP update message that contains specific EVPN attributes. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must control a BGP speaker that has an established trusted peer connection to an affected device that is configured with the address family L2VPN EVPN to receive and process the update message. This vulnerability cannot be exploited by any data that is initiated by clients on the Layer 2 network or by peers that are not configured to accept the L2VPN EVPN address family. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the BGP process to restart unexpectedly, resulting in a DoS condi...

Ivanti Avalanche Incorrect Default Permissions allows Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability

Better securing the frontlines: Leveraging Ansible Automation Platform and AIDE for DoD file integrity

A lot of system administrators within the Department of Defense already use the Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment (AIDE). This is mainly because of a Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) that states that a file integrity checker must be configured to verify extended file attributes. There are a lot of features to AIDE, and the combination of using AIDE with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform gives you the ability to automate important corrections to your system configuration. Telling AIDE what to check AIDE can be configured to check multiple file and folder attributes.

CVE-2023-20688: April 2023

In power, there is a possible out of bounds read due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to local information disclosure with System execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: ALPS07441821; Issue ID: ALPS07441821.

CVE-2023-40711: CHANGELOG.md · main · Veilid / veilid · GitLab

Veilid before 0.1.9 does not check the size of uncompressed data during decompression upon an envelope receipt, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-memory abort) via crafted packet data, as exploited in the wild in August 2023.

CVE-2021-1563: Cisco Security Advisory: Cisco Video Surveillance 7000 Series IP Cameras Cisco Discovery Protocol and Link Layer Discovery Protocol Memory Leak Vulnerabilities

Multiple vulnerabilities in the implementation of the Cisco Discovery Protocol and Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) for Cisco Video Surveillance 7000 Series IP Cameras could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a memory leak, which could lead to a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. These vulnerabilities are due to incorrect processing of certain Cisco Discovery Protocol and LLDP packets at ingress time. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending crafted Cisco Discovery Protocol or LLDP packets to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the affected device to continuously consume memory, which could cause the device to crash and reload, resulting in a DoS condition. Note: Cisco Discovery Protocol and LLDP are Layer 2 protocols. To exploit these vulnerabilities, an attacker must be in the same broadcast domain as the affected device (Layer 2 adjacent).

CVE-2020-23060

Internet Download Manager 6.37.11.1 was discovered to contain a stack buffer overflow in the Export/Import function. This vulnerability allows attackers to escalate local process privileges via a crafted ef2 file.

Verbatim Executive Fingerprint Secure SSD GDMSFE01-INI3637-C VER1.1 Risky Crypto

When analyzing the Verbatim Executive Fingerprint Secure SSD, Matthias Deeg found out it uses an insecure design which allows retrieving the currently used password and thus the ability to unlock and access the stored data in an unauthorized way.
