jbd2_journal_wait_updates in fs/jbd2/transaction.c in the Linux kernel before 5.17.1 has a use-after-free caused by a transaction_t race condition.
A vulnerability was found in btrfs_alloc_tree_b in fs/btrfs/extent-tree.c in the Linux kernel due to an improper lock operation in btrfs. In this flaw, a user with a local privilege may cause a denial of service (DOS) due to a deadlock problem.
A use-after-free flaw was found in the add_partition in block/partitions/core.c in the Linux kernel. A local attacker with user privileges could cause a denial of service on the system. The issue results from the lack of code cleanup when device_add call fails when adding a partition to the disk.
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.16.12. drivers/net/usb/sr9700.c allows attackers to obtain sensitive information from heap memory via crafted frame lengths from a device.
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Bluetooth subsystem in the way user calls connect to the socket and disconnect simultaneously due to a race condition. This flaw allows a user to crash the system or escalate their privileges. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability.
Insufficiently protected credentials in USB provisioning for Intel(R) AMT SDK before version 16.0.3, Intel(R) SCS before version 12.2 and Intel(R) MEBx before versions 11.0.0.0012, 12.0.0.0011, 14.0.0.0004 and 15.0.0.0004 may allow an unauthenticated user to potentially enable information disclosure via physical access.
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in both the LLMNR functionality of Sealevel Systems, Inc. SeaConnect 370W v1.3.34. A specially-crafted network packet can lead to remote code execution. An attacker can send a malicious packet to trigger this vulnerability.
ASUS VivoMini/Mini PC device has an improper input validation vulnerability. A local attacker with system privilege can use system management interrupt (SMI) to modify memory, resulting in arbitrary code execution for controlling the system or disrupting service.
Machine accounts play a role in red team operations as in a number of techniques are utilized for privilege escalation, lateral movement and domain escalation.… Continue reading → Domain Persistence – Machine Account
Discourse is an open source discussion platform. Prior to version 2.8.0.beta11 in the `tests-passed` branch, version 2.8.0.beta11 in the `beta` branch, and version 2.7.13 in the `stable` branch, the bios of users who made their profiles private were still visible in the `<meta>` tags on their users' pages. The problem is patched in `tests-passed` version 2.8.0.beta11, `beta` version 2.8.0.beta11, and `stable` version 2.7.13 of Discourse.
