### Impact The capture_dependencies function in `sagemaker.serve.save_retrive.version_1_0_0.save.utils` module before version 2.214.3 allows for potentially unsafe Operating System (OS) Command Injection if inappropriate command is passed as the “requirements_path” parameter. This consequently may allow an unprivileged third party to cause remote code execution, denial of service, affecting both confidentiality and integrity. Impacted versions: <2.214.3 ### Credit We would like to thank HiddenLayer for collaborating on this issue through the coordinated vulnerability disclosure process. ### Workarounds Do not override the “requirements_path” parameter of capture_dependencies function in `sagemaker.serve.save_retrive.version_1_0_0.save.utils`, instead use the default value. ### References If you have any questions or comments about this advisory we ask that you contact AWS/Amazon Security via our vulnerability reporting page [1] or directly via email to [email protected]. ...
### Impact sagemaker.base_deserializers.NumpyDeserializer module before v2.218.0 allows potentially unsafe deserialization when untrusted data is passed as pickled object arrays. This consequently may allow an unprivileged third party to cause remote code execution, denial of service, affecting both confidentiality and integrity. Impacted versions: <2.218.0. ### Credit We would like to thank HiddenLayer for collaborating on this issue through the coordinated vulnerability disclosure process. ### Workarounds Do not pass pickled numpy object arrays which originated from an untrusted source, or that could have been tampered with. Only pass pickled numpy object arrays from sources you trust. ### References If you have any questions or comments about this advisory we ask that you contact AWS/Amazon Security via our vulnerability reporting page [1] or directly via email to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]). ### Summary An attacker can send a specially crafted POST (multipart/form-data) request. When the aiohttp server processes it, the server will enter an infinite loop and be unable to process any further requests. ### Impact An attacker can stop the application from serving requests after sending a single request. ------- For anyone needing to patch older versions of aiohttp, the minimum diff needed to resolve the issue is (located in `_read_chunk_from_length()`): ```diff diff --git a/aiohttp/multipart.py b/aiohttp/multipart.py index 227be605c..71fc2654a 100644 --- a/aiohttp/multipart.py +++ b/aiohttp/multipart.py @@ -338,6 +338,8 @@ class BodyPartReader: assert self._length is not None, "Content-Length required for chunked read" chunk_size = min(size, self._length - self._read_bytes) chunk = await self._content.read(chunk_size) + if self._content.at_eof(): + self._at_eof = True return chunk async def _read_chunk_from_stre...
Ubuntu Security Notice 6762-1 - It was discovered that GNU C Library incorrectly handled netgroup requests. An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a crash or execute arbitrary code. This issue only affected Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. It was discovered that GNU C Library might allow context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service. This issue only affected Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. It was discovered that GNU C Library when processing very long pathname arguments to the realpath function, could encounter an integer overflow on 32-bit architectures, leading to a stack-based buffer overflow and, potentially, arbitrary code execution. This issue only affected Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, the threat of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks looms more significant than ever. As these cyber threats grow in sophistication, understanding and countering them becomes crucial for any business seeking to protect its online presence. To address this urgent need, we are thrilled to announce our upcoming webinar, "Uncovering Contemporary
libxmljs2 is vulnerable to type confusion when parsing a specially crafted XML while invoking a function on the result of attrs() that was called on a parsed node. This vulnerability might lead to denial of service (on both 32-bit systems and 64-bit systems), data leak, infinite loop and remote code execution (on 32-bit systems with the XML_PARSE_HUGE flag enabled). At the time of publication, there is no fix.
libxmljs is vulnerable to a type confusion vulnerability when parsing a specially crafted XML while invoking a function on the result of `attrs()` that was called on a parsed node. libxmljs2 is vulnerable to a type confusion vulnerability when parsing a specially crafted XML while invoking the `namespaces()` function (which invokes `XmlNode::get_local_namespaces()`) on a grand-child of a node that refers to an entity. This vulnerability can lead to denial of service and remote code execution.
