**The following mitigating factors might be helpful in your situation:** Only .NET services running on non-Windows platforms are affected by this vulnerability. If your web server is running on Windows, an attacker cannot use this DoS vector to bring down your web server.

**According to the CVSS metric, the attack complexity is high (AC:H). What does that mean for this vulnerability?** Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires an attacker to take additional actions prior to exploitation to prepare the target environment.
The Comment module allows users to reply to comments. In certain cases, an attacker could make comment reply requests that would trigger a denial of service (DOS). Sites that do not use the Comment module are not affected.
### Summary When using form data, `python-multipart` uses a Regular Expression to parse the HTTP `Content-Type` header, including options. An attacker could send a custom-made `Content-Type` option that is very difficult for the RegEx to process, consuming CPU resources and stalling indefinitely (minutes or more) while holding the main event loop. This means that process can't handle any more requests.
