KubeEdge is an open source system for extending native containerized application orchestration capabilities to hosts at Edge. Prior to versions 1.11.1, 1.10.2, and 1.9.4, several endpoints in the Cloud AdmissionController may be susceptible to a DoS attack if an HTTP request containing a very large Body is sent to it. The consequence of the exhaustion is that the Cloud AdmissionController will be in denial of service. This bug has been fixed in Kubeedge 1.11.1, 1.10.2, and 1.9.4. There is currently no known workaround.
Ubuntu Security Notice 5479-3 - USN-5479-1 fixed vulnerabilities in PHP. Unfortunately that update for CVE-2022-31625 was incomplete for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. This update fixes the problem. Charles Fol discovered that PHP incorrectly handled initializing certain arrays when handling the pg_query_params function. A remote attacker could use this issue to cause PHP to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code. Charles Fol discovered that PHP incorrectly handled passwords in mysqlnd. A remote attacker could use this issue to cause PHP to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.
Ubuntu Security Notice 5506-1 - Tavis Ormandy discovered that NSS incorrectly handled an empty pkcs7 sequence. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to cause NSS to crash, resulting in a denial of service. This issue only affected Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, and Ubuntu 21.10. Ronald Crane discovered that NSS incorrectly handled certain memory operations. A remote attacker could use this issue to cause NSS to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.
Nginx version 1.20.0 suffers from a denial of service vulnerability.
In Eclipse Jetty HTTP/2 server implementation, when encountering an invalid HTTP/2 request, the error handling has a bug that can wind up not properly cleaning up the active connections and associated resources. This can lead to a Denial of Service scenario where there are no enough resources left to process good requests.
File upload vulnerability in GFI Mail Archiver versions up to and including 15.1 via insecure implementation of Telerik Web UI plugin which is affected by CVE-2014-2217, and CVE-2017-11317.
### Description Invalid HTTP/2 requests (for example, invalid URIs) are incorrectly handled by writing a blocking error response directly from the selector thread. If the client manages to exhaust the HTTP/2 flow control window, or TCP congest the connection, the selector thread will be blocked trying to write the error response. If this is repeated for all the selector threads, the server becomes unresponsive, causing the denial of service. ### Impact A malicious client may render the server unresponsive. ### Patches The fix is available in Jetty versions 9.4.47. 10.0.10, 11.0.10. ### Workarounds No workaround available within Jetty itself. One possible workaround is to filter the requests before sending them to Jetty (for example in a proxy) ### For more information If you have any questions or comments about this advisory: * Email us at [email protected].
An infinite loop in the function httpRpmPass of TP-Link TL-WR741N/TL-WR742N V1/V2/V3_130415 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted packet.
An issue was discovered in glFTPd 2.11a that allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via exceeding the connection limit.
Akashi is an open source server implementation of the Attorney Online video game based on the Ace Attorney universe. Affected versions of Akashi are subject to a denial of service attack. An attacker can use a specially crafted evidence packet to make an illegal modification, causing a server crash. This can be used to mount a denial-of-service exploit. Users are advised to upgrade. There is no known workaround for this issue.
