The Horizon REST API includes a users endpoint in OpenMNS Horizon 31.0.8 and versions earlier than 32.0.2 on multiple platforms is vulnerable to elevation of privilege. The solution is to upgrade to Meridian 2023.1.6, 2022.1.19, 2021.1.30, 2020.1.38 or Horizon 32.0.2 or newer. Meridian and Horizon installation instructions state that they are intended for installation within an organization's private networks and should not be directly accessible from the Internet. Ubuntu Security Notice USN-6286-1

Ubuntu Security Notice 6286-1 - Daniel Moghimi discovered that some Intel Processors did not properly clear microarchitectural state after speculative execution of various instructions. A local unprivileged user could use this to obtain to sensitive information. It was discovered that some Intel Xeon Processors did not properly restrict error injection for Intel SGX or Intel TDX. A local privileged user could use this to further escalate their privileges.

A local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service.

An attacker could use this to cause a denial of service. Billy Jheng Bing Jhong discovered that the CIFS network file system implementation in the Linux kernel did not properly validate arguments to ioctl in some situations. A local attacker could possibly use this to cause a denial of service.

A local attacker could possibly use this to gain elevated privileges.
