CVE-2023-0599: Metasploit Release Notes

Rapid7 Metasploit Pro versions 4.21.2 and lower suffer from a stored cross site scripting vulnerability, due to a lack of JavaScript request string sanitization. Using this vulnerability, an authenticated attacker can execute arbitrary HTML and script code in the target browser against another Metasploit Pro user using a specially crafted request. Note that in most deployments, all Metasploit Pro users tend to enjoy privileges equivalent to local administrator.

GHSA-3867-jc5c-66qf: Broken Access Control order API in Shopware

### Impact In the Shopware CMS, the state handler for orders fails to sufficiently verify user authorizations for actions that modify the payment, delivery, and/or order status. Due to this inadequate implementation, users lacking 'write' permissions for orders are still able to change the order state. ### Patches Update to Shopware 6.5.7.4 ### Workarounds For older versions of 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 corresponding security measures are also available via a plugin. For the full range of functions, we recommend updating to the latest Shopware version.

GHSA-hcpw-v727-64qh: Jenkins Team Concert Plugin does not perform permission checks in methods implementing form validation

Jenkins Team Concert Plugin 2.4.1 and earlier does not perform permission checks in methods implementing form validation. This allows attackers with Overall/Read permission to check for the existence of an attacker-specified file path on the Jenkins controller file system. Team Concert Plugin 2.4.2 requires Overall/Administer permission for the affected form validation methods.

GHSA-ff4p-7xrq-q5r8: wasmtime vulnerable to guest-controlled out-of-bounds read/write on x86_64

### Impact Wasmtime's code generator, Cranelift, has a bug on x86_64 targets where address-mode computation mistakenly would calculate a 35-bit effective address instead of WebAssembly's defined 33-bit effective address. This bug means that, with default codegen settings, a wasm-controlled load/store operation could read/write addresses up to 35 bits away from the base of linear memory. Wasmtime's default sandbox settings provide up to 6G of protection from the base of linear memory to guarantee that any memory access in that range will be semantically correct. Due to this bug, however, addresses up to `0xffffffff * 8 + 0x7ffffffc = 36507222004 = ~34G` bytes away from the base of linear memory are possible from guest code. This means that the virtual memory 6G away from the base of linear memory up to ~34G away can be read/written by a malicious module. This out of bounds read/write is not semantically correct and poses a threat as an arbitrary read/write within ~34G of linear memory...

CVE-2020-35499: Invalid Bug ID

A NULL pointer dereference flaw in Linux kernel versions prior to 5.11 may be seen if sco_sock_getsockopt function in net/bluetooth/sco.c do not have a sanity check for a socket connection, when using BT_SNDMTU/BT_RCVMTU for SCO sockets. This could allow a local attacker with a special user privilege to crash the system (DOS) or leak kernel internal information.

Android 15 Rolls Out Advanced Features to Protect Users from Scams and Malicious Apps

Google is unveiling a set of new features in Android 15 to prevent malicious apps installed on the device from capturing sensitive data. This constitutes an update to the Play Integrity API that third-party app developers can take advantage of to secure their applications against malware. "Developers can check if there are other apps running that could be capturing the screen, creating

CVE-2022-0015: CVE-2022-0015 Cortex XDR Agent: An Uncontrolled Search Path Element Leads to Local Privilege Escalation (PE) Vulnerability

A local privilege escalation (PE) vulnerability exists in the Palo Alto Networks Cortex XDR agent that enables an authenticated local user to execute programs with elevated privileges. This issue impacts: Cortex XDR agent 5.0 versions earlier than Cortex XDR agent 5.0.12; Cortex XDR agent 6.1 versions earlier than Cortex XDR agent 6.1.9.
