TYPO3 is an open source PHP based web content management system. In versions prior to 9.5.38, 10.4.33, 11.5.20, and 12.1.1, requesting invalid or non-existing resources via HTTP triggers the page error handler, which again could retrieve content to be shown as an error message from another page. This leads to a scenario in which the application is calling itself recursively - amplifying the impact of the initial attack until the limits of the web server are exceeded. This vulnerability is very similar, but not identical, to the one described in CVE-2021-21359. This issue is patched in versions 9.5.38 ELTS, 10.4.33, 11.5.20 or 12.1.1.
Deloitte's Future of Cyber study highlights the fact that cybersecurity is an essential part of business success and should not be limited to just mitigating IT risks.
Windows Kernel Denial of Service Vulnerability
## Summary Certain configurations of rails-html-sanitizer `< 1.4.4` use an inefficient regular expression that is susceptible to excessive backtracking when attempting to sanitize certain SVG attributes. This may lead to a denial of service through CPU resource consumption. ## Mitigation Upgrade to rails-html-sanitizer `>= 1.4.4`. ## Severity The maintainers have evaluated this as [High Severity 7.5 (CVSS3.1)](https://www.first.org/cvss/calculator/3.1#CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). ## References - [CWE - CWE-1333: Inefficient Regular Expression Complexity (4.9)](https://cwe.mitre.org/data/definitions/1333.html) - https://hackerone.com/reports/1684163 ## Credit This vulnerability was responsibly reported by @ooooooo-q (https://github.com/ooooooo-q).
## Summary Loofah `>= 2.2.0, < 2.19.1` uses recursion for sanitizing `CDATA` sections, making it susceptible to stack exhaustion and raising a `SystemStackError` exception. This may lead to a denial of service through CPU resource consumption. ## Mitigation Upgrade to Loofah `>= 2.19.1`. Users who are unable to upgrade may be able to mitigate this vulnerability by limiting the length of the strings that are sanitized. ## Severity The Loofah maintainers have evaluated this as [High Severity 7.5 (CVSS3.1)](https://www.first.org/cvss/calculator/3.1#CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). ## References - [CWE - CWE-674: Uncontrolled Recursion (4.9)](https://cwe.mitre.org/data/definitions/674.html)

Ubuntu Security Notice 5776-1 - It was discovered that containerd incorrectly handled memory when receiving certain faulty Exec or ExecSync commands. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a denial of service or crash containerd. It was discovered that containerd incorrectly set up inheritable file capabilities. An attacker could possibly use this issue to escalate privileges inside a container. This issue only affected Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

Marcin ‘Icewall’ Noga of Cisco Talos discovered this vulnerability. Cisco Talos recently discovered a denial-of-service vulnerability in VMWare vCenter Server. VMware vCenter Server is a platform that enables centralized control and monitoring over all virtual machines and EXSi hypervisors included in vSphere. TALOS-2022-1588 (CVE-2022-31698) concerns a pre-authentication denial-of-service
In findAllDeAccounts of AccountsDb.java, there is a possible denial of service due to resource exhaustion. This could lead to local denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Product: AndroidVersions: Android-10 Android-11 Android-12 Android-12L Android-13Android ID: A-169762606
