In mspack/cab.h in libmspack before 0.8alpha and cabextract before 1.8, the CAB block input buffer is one byte too small for the maximal Quantum block, leading to an out-of-bounds write.

The function MP4Free() in mp4property.cpp in libmp4v2 2.1.0 internally calls free() on a invalid pointer, raising a SIGABRT signal.

The function mp4v2::impl::MP4Track::FinishSdtp() in mp4track.cpp in libmp4v2 2.1.0 mishandles compatibleBrand while processing a crafted mp4 file, which leads to a heap-based buffer over-read, causing denial of service.

From version 1.3.0 onward, Apache Spark's standalone master exposes a REST API for job submission, in addition to the submission mechanism used by spark-submit. In standalone, the config property 'spark.authenticate.secret' establishes a shared secret for authenticating requests to submit jobs via spark-submit. However, the REST API does not use this or any other authentication mechanism, and this is not adequately documented. In this case, a user would be able to run a driver program without authenticating, but not launch executors, using the REST API. This REST API is also used by Mesos, when set up to run in cluster mode (i.e., when also running MesosClusterDispatcher), for job submission. Future versions of Spark will improve documentation on these points, and prohibit setting 'spark.authenticate.secret' when running the REST APIs, to make this clear. MP4NameFirstMatches in mp4util.cpp in MP4v2 2.0.0 mishandles substrings of atom names, leading to use of an inappropriate data type for associated atoms. The resulting type confusion can cause out-of-bounds memory access.

MP4Atom::factory in mp4atom.cpp in MP4v2 2.0.0 incorrectly uses the MP4ItemAtom data type in a certain case where MP4DataAtom is required, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted MP4 file, because access to the data structure has different expectations about layout as a result of this type confusion.

A double free exists in the MP4StringProperty class in mp4property.cpp in MP4v2 2.0.0. A dangling pointer is freed again in the destructor once an exception is triggered.
