CVE-2023-42811: lib.rs - source

aes-gcm is a pure Rust implementation of the AES-GCM. Starting in version 0.10.0 and prior to version 0.10.3, in the AES GCM implementation of decrypt_in_place_detached, the decrypted ciphertext (i.e. the correct plaintext) is exposed even if tag verification fails. If a program using the `aes-gcm` crate's `decrypt_in_place*` APIs accesses the buffer after decryption failure, it will contain a decryption of an unauthenticated input. Depending on the specific nature of the program this may enable Chosen Ciphertext Attacks (CCAs) which can cause a catastrophic breakage of the cipher including full plaintext recovery. Version 0.10.3 contains a fix for this issue.

GHSA-423w-p2w9-r7vq: AEADs/aes-gcm: Plaintext exposed in decrypt_in_place_detached even on tag verification failure

### Summary In the AES GCM implementation of decrypt_in_place_detached, the decrypted ciphertext (i.e. the correct plaintext) is exposed even if tag verification fails. ### Impact If a program using the `aes-gcm` crate's `decrypt_in_place*` APIs accesses the buffer after decryption failure, it will contain a decryption of an unauthenticated input. Depending on the specific nature of the program this may enable Chosen Ciphertext Attacks (CCAs) which can cause a catastrophic breakage of the cipher including full plaintext recovery. ### Details As seen in the implementation of [decrypt_in_place_detached](https://docs.rs/aes-gcm/latest/src/aes_gcm/lib.rs.html#309) for AES GCM, if the tag verification fails, an error is returned. Because the decryption of the ciphertext is done in place, the plaintext contents are now exposed via `buffer`. This should ideally not be the case - as noted in page 17 of[ NIST's publication _Recommendation for Block Cipher Modes of Operation: Galois/Counter...

CVE-2023-4716: class-mla-shortcode-support.php in media-library-assistant/trunk/includes – WordPress Plugin Repository

The Media Library Assistant plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'mla_gallery' shortcode in versions up to, and including, 3.10 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

CVE-2023-42280: -Vulnerability-recurrence-sorting/anyfiledown-en.pdf at main · zaizainani/-Vulnerability-recurrence-sorting

mee-admin 1.5 is vulnerable to Directory Traversal. The download method in the CommonFileController.java file does not verify the incoming data, resulting in arbitrary file reading.

CVE-2023-2508: Mobility Print release history | PaperCut

The `PaperCutNG Mobility Print` version 1.0.3512 application allows an unauthenticated attacker to perform a CSRF attack on an instance administrator to configure the clients host (in the "configure printer discovery" section). This is possible because the application has no protections against CSRF attacks, like Anti-CSRF tokens, header origin validation, samesite cookies, etc.

CVE-2022-45447: Multiple Vulnerabilities M4 Pdf Plugin Prestashop Sites | INCIBE-CERT

M4 PDF plugin for Prestashop sites, in its 3.2.3 version and before, is vulnerable to a directory traversal vulnerability. The “f” parameter is not properly checked in the resource /m4pdf/pdf.php, returning any file given its relative path. An attacker that exploits this vulnerability could download /etc/passwd from the server if the file exists.

Sophisticated Phishing Campaign Targeting Chinese Users with ValleyRAT and Gh0st RAT

Chinese-language speakers have been increasingly targeted as part of multiple email phishing campaigns that aim to distribute various malware families such as Sainbox RAT, Purple Fox, and a new trojan called ValleyRAT. "Campaigns include Chinese-language lures and malware typically associated with Chinese cybercrime activity," enterprise security firm Proofpoint said in a report shared with The

CVE-2023-4088

Incorrect Default Permissions vulnerability due to incomplete fix to address CVE-2020-14496 in Mitsubishi Electric Corporation FA engineering software products allows a malicious local attacker to execute a malicious code, which could result in information disclosure, tampering with and deletion, or a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. However, if the mitigated version described in the advisory for CVE-2020-14496 is used and installed in the default installation folder, this vulnerability does not affect the products.
