Student Attendance Management System version 1.0 suffers from a remote SQL Injection vulnerability that allows for authentication bypass.
Multiple threat actors, including cyber espionage groups, are employing an open-source Android remote administration tool called Rafel RAT to meet their operational objectives by masquerading it as Instagram, WhatsApp, and various e-commerce and antivirus apps. "It provides malicious actors with a powerful toolkit for remote administration and control, enabling a range of malicious activities
The Marvin Attack is a new side-channel attack on cryptographic implementations of RSA in which the attacker decrypts previously captured ciphertext by measuring, over a network, server response times to specially crafted messages. The attacker also may forge signatures with the same key as the one used for decryption. Red Hat published the principles and technical background of the Marvin Attack in September of 2023.Since that time, we have identified lots of other vulnerable implementations and have shipped fixes. Note that most of the CVEs in applications that use OpenSSL have only received
A new campaign is tricking users searching for the Meta Quest (formerly Oculus) application for Windows into downloading a new adware family called AdsExhaust. "The adware is capable of exfiltrating screenshots from infected devices and interacting with browsers using simulated keystrokes," cybersecurity firm eSentire said in an analysis, adding it identified the activity earlier this month. "
This affects versions of the package opencart/opencart from 4.0.0.0. An Arbitrary File Creation issue was identified via the database restoration functionality. By injecting PHP code into the database, an attacker with admin privileges can create a backup file with an arbitrary filename (including the extension), within /system/storage/backup. **Note:** It is less likely for the created file to be available within the web root, as part of the security recommendations for the application suggest moving the storage path outside of the web root.
This affects versions of the package opencart/opencart from 4.0.0.0. A reflected XSS issue was identified in the directory parameter of admin common/filemanager.list route. An attacker could obtain a user's token by tricking the user to click on a maliciously crafted URL. The user is then prompted to login and redirected again upon authentication with the payload automatically executing. If the attacked user has admin privileges, this vulnerability could be used as the start of a chain of exploits like Zip Slip or arbitrary file write vulnerabilities in the admin functionality. **Notes:** 1) This is only exploitable if the attacker knows the name or path of the admin directory. The name of the directory is "admin" by default but there is a pop-up in the dashboard warning users to rename it. 2) The fix for this vulnerability is incomplete. The redirect is removed so that it is not possible for an attacker to control the redirect post admin login anymore, but it is still possible to e...

Debian Linux Security Advisory 5717-1 - It was discovered that user validation was incorrectly implemented for filter_var(FILTER_VALIDATE_URL) for php8.2.
Ubuntu Security Notice 6841-1 - It was discovered that PHP could early return in the filter_var function resulting in invalid user information being treated as valid user information. An attacker could possibly use this issue to expose raw user input information.
Debian Linux Security Advisory 5715-1 - Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in Composer, a dependency manager for PHP, which could result in arbitrary command execution by operating on malicious git/hg repositories.
