GHSA-qh8g-58pp-2wxh: Eclipse Jetty URI parsing of invalid authority

## Summary Eclipse Jetty is a lightweight, highly scalable, Java-based web server and Servlet engine . It includes a utility class, `HttpURI`, for URI/URL parsing. The `HttpURI` class does insufficient validation on the authority segment of a URI. However the behaviour of `HttpURI` differs from the common browsers in how it handles a URI that would be considered invalid if fully validated against the RRC. Specifically `HttpURI` and the browser may differ on the value of the host extracted from an invalid URI and thus a combination of Jetty and a vulnerable browser may be vulnerable to a open redirect attack or to a SSRF attack if the URI is used after passing validation checks. ## Details ### Affected components The vulnerable component is the `HttpURI` class when used as a utility class in an application. The Jetty usage of the class is not vulnerable. ### Attack overview The `HttpURI` class does not well validate the authority section of a URI. When presented with an illega...

New Critical GitLab Vulnerability Could Allow Arbitrary CI/CD Pipeline Execution

GitLab has released security updates for Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition (EE) to address eight security flaws, including a critical bug that could allow running Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines on arbitrary branches. Tracked as CVE-2024-9164, the vulnerability carries a CVSS score of 9.6 out of 10. "An issue was discovered in GitLab EE

GHSA-576c-3j53-r9jj: Gradio vulnerable to SSRF in the path parameter of /queue/join

### Impact **What kind of vulnerability is it? Who is impacted?** This vulnerability relates to **Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)** in the `/queue/join` endpoint. Gradio’s `async_save_url_to_cache` function allows attackers to force the Gradio server to send HTTP requests to user-controlled URLs. This could enable attackers to target internal servers or services within a local network and possibly exfiltrate data or cause unwanted internal requests. Additionally, the content from these URLs is stored locally, making it easier for attackers to upload potentially malicious files to the server. This impacts users deploying Gradio servers that use components like the Video component which involve URL fetching. ### Patches Yes, please upgrade to `gradio>=5` to address this issue. ### Workarounds **Is there a way for users to fix or remediate the vulnerability without upgrading?** As a workaround, users can disable or heavily restrict URL-based inputs in their Gradio application...

GHSA-w9xv-qf98-ccq4: PhpSpreadsheet allows absolute path traversal and Server-Side Request Forgery in HTML writer when embedding images is enabled

### Summary It's possible for an attacker to construct an XLSX file that links images from arbitrary paths. When embedding images has been enabled in HTML writer with `$writer->setEmbedImages(true);` those files will be included in the output as `data:` URLs, regardless of the file's type. Also URLs can be used for embedding, resulting in a Server-Side Request Forgery vulnerability. ### Details XLSX files allow embedding or linking media. When In `xl/drawings/drawing1.xml` an attacker can do e.g.: ```xml <a:blip cstate="print" r:link="rId1" /> ``` And then, in `xl/drawings/_rels/drawing1.xml.rels` they can set the path to anything, such as: ```xml <Relationship Id="rId1" Type="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/officeDocument/2006/relationships/image" Target="/etc/passwd" /> ``` or ```xml <Relationship Id="rId1" Type="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/officeDocument/2006/relationships/image" Target="http://example.org" /> ``` When the HTML writer is outputting the...

GHSA-5gpr-w2p5-6m37: PhpSpreadsheet allows absolute path traversal and Server-Side Request Forgery when opening XLSX file

### Summary It's possible for an attacker to construct an XLSX file which links media from external URLs. When opening the XLSX file, PhpSpreadsheet retrieves the image size and type by reading the file contents, if the provided path is a URL. By using specially crafted `php://filter` URLs an attacker can leak the contents of any file or URL. Note that this vulnerability is different from [GHSA-w9xv-qf98-ccq4](https://github.com/PHPOffice/PhpSpreadsheet/security/advisories/GHSA-w9xv-qf98-ccq4), and resides in a different component. ### Details When an XLSX file is opened, the XLSX reader calls `setPath()` with the path provided in the `xl/drawings/_rels/drawing1.xml.rels` file in the XLSX archive: ```php if (isset($images[$embedImageKey])) { // ...omit irrelevant code... } else { $linkImageKey = (string) self::getArrayItem( $blip->attributes('http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/officeDocument/2006/relationships'), 'link' ); if (isset($images[$linkImag...

Subnet Solutions Inc. PowerSYSTEM Center

View CSAF 1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY CVSS v3 7.5 ATTENTION: Exploitable remotely/Low attack complexity Vendor: Subnet Solutions Inc. Equipment: PowerSYSTEM Center Vulnerabilities: Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), Inefficient Regular Expression Complexity, Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) 2. RISK EVALUATION Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could result in an attacker bypassing a proxy, creating a denial-of-service condition, or viewing sensitive information. 3. TECHNICAL DETAILS 3.1 AFFECTED PRODUCTS The following versions of PowerSYSTEM Center are affected: PowerSYSTEM Center: PSC 2020 v5.21.x and prior 3.2 Vulnerability Overview 3.2.1 SERVER-SIDE REQUEST FORGERY (SSRF) CWE-918 Vulnerable versions of PowerSYSTEM Center utilize Axios NPM package 0.21.0, which contains a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability where an attacker is able to bypass a proxy by providing a URL that responds with a redirect to a restricted host or IP address. CVE-2020-28168 has been assi...

GHSA-vx3h-qwqw-r2wq: Inventree Server-Side Request Forgery vulnerability exposes server port/internal IP

### Impact The "download image from remote URL" feature can be abused by a malicious actor to potentially extract information about server side resources. Submitting a crafted URL (in place of a valid image) can raise a server side error, which is reported back to the user. This error message may contain sensitive information about the server side request, including information about the availability of the remote resource. ### Patches The solution to this vulnerability is to prevent the server from returning any specific information about the observed exception. Instead, a generic error message is returned to the client. This patch has been applied to the upcoming 0.17.0 release, and also back-ported to the 0.16.5 stable release. ### Workarounds To avoid this issue with unpatched versions, the "download image from remote URL" feature can be disabled in InvenTree, preventing users from accessing this information. ### References Thanks to @febin0x10 for identifying this vulne...
