Versions of the package asyncua before 0.9.96 are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) such that an attacker can send a malformed packet and as a result, the server will enter into an infinite loop and consume excessive memory.
Versions of the package asyncua before 0.9.96 are vulnerable to Improper Authentication such that it is possible to access Address Space without encryption and authentication. **Note:** This issue is a result of missing checks for services that require an active session.
All versions of the package static-server are vulnerable to Directory Traversal due to improper input sanitization passed via the validPath function of server.js.
### Impact A security vulnerability in Soft Serve could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass public key authentication when keyboard-interactive SSH authentication is active, through the `allow-keyless` setting, and the public key requires additional client-side verification for example using FIDO2 or GPG. This is due to insufficient validation procedures of the public key step during SSH request handshake, granting unauthorized access if the keyboard-interaction mode is utilized. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by presenting manipulated SSH requests using keyboard-interactive authentication mode. ### Summary Autoinstrumentation out of the box adds the label `http_method` that has unbound cardinality. It leads to the server's potential memory exhaustion when many malicious requests are sent. ### Details HTTP method for requests can be easily set by an attacker to be random and long. ### PoC Send many requests with long randomly generated HTTP methods and observe how memory consumption increases during it. The app can be like [this example from the official docs](https://opentelemetry-python-contrib.readthedocs.io/en/latest/instrumentation/flask/flask.html#id1). ### Impact In order to be affected program has to be instrumented for HTTP handlers and does not filter any unknown HTTP methods on the level of CDN, LB, previous middleware, etc. ### Proposed solution For convenience and safe usage of this library, it should by default mark with the label `UNKNOWN` non-standard HTTP methods to show that such requests were made (and this way does not increase cardinality). urllib3 doesn't treat the `Cookie` HTTP header special or provide any helpers for managing cookies over HTTP, that is the responsibility of the user. However, it is possible for a user to specify a `Cookie` header and unknowingly leak information via HTTP redirects to a different origin if that user doesn't disable redirects explicitly. Users **must** handle redirects themselves instead of relying on urllib3's automatic redirects to achieve safe processing of the `Cookie` header, thus we decided to strip the header by default in order to further protect users who aren't using the correct approach. ## Affected usages We believe the number of usages affected by this advisory is low. It requires all of the following to be true to be exploited: * Using an affected version of urllib3 (patched in v1.26.17 and v2.0.6) * Using the `Cookie` header on requests, which is mostly typical for impersonating a browser. * Not disabling HTTP redirects * Either not using HTTPS or for the origin serve...
## Impact wallabag was discovered to contain a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) which allows attackers to arbitrarily disable 2FA through `/config/otp/app/disable` and `/config/otp/email/disable`. An issue was discovered in pretix before 2023.7.1. Incorrect parsing of configuration files causes the application to trust unchecked X-Forwarded-For headers even though it has not been configured to do so. This can lead to IP address spoofing by users of the application.
## Impact **Remote Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)** **Issue**: TorchServe default configuration lacks proper input validation, enabling third parties to invoke remote HTTP download requests and write files to the disk. This issue could be taken advantage of to compromise the integrity of the system and sensitive data. This issue is present in versions `0.1.0` to `0.8.1`. **Mitigation**: The user is able to load the model of their choice from any URL that they would like to use. The user of TorchServe is responsible for configuring both the [allowed_urls](https://github.com/pytorch/serve/blob/b3eced56b4d9d5d3b8597aa506a0bcf954d291bc/docs/configuration.md?plain=1#L296) and specifying the model URL to be used.
