Files or Directories Accessible to External Parties, Improper Privilege Management vulnerability in Apache Kafka Clients. Apache Kafka Clients accept configuration data for customizing behavior, and includes ConfigProvider plugins in order to manipulate these configurations. Apache Kafka also provides FileConfigProvider, DirectoryConfigProvider, and EnvVarConfigProvider implementations which include the ability to read from disk or environment variables. In applications where Apache Kafka Clients configurations can be specified by an untrusted party, attackers may use these ConfigProviders to read arbitrary contents of the disk and environment variables. In particular, this flaw may be used in Apache Kafka Connect to escalate from REST API access to filesystem/environment access, which may be undesirable in certain environments, including SaaS products. This issue affects Apache Kafka Clients: from 2.3.0 through 3.5.2, 3.6.2, 3.7.0. Users with affected applications are recommended ...
# Description: The fix for improvement 69333 caused pooled JSP tags not to be released after use which in turn could cause output of some tags not to escaped as expected. This unescaped output could lead to XSS. # Versions Affected: - Apache Tomcat 11.0.0 - Apache Tomcat 10.1.31 - Apache Tomcat 9.0.96 # Mitigation: Users of the affected versions should apply one of the following mitigations: - Upgrade to Apache Tomcat 11.0.1 or later - Upgrade to Apache Tomcat 10.1.33 or later Note: 10.1.32 was not released - Upgrade to Apache Tomcat 9.0.97 or later
Unchecked Error Condition vulnerability in Apache Tomcat. If Tomcat is configured to use a custom Jakarta Authentication (formerly JASPIC) ServerAuthContext component which may throw an exception during the authentication process without explicitly setting an HTTP status to indicate failure, the authentication may not fail, allowing the user to bypass the authentication process. There are no known Jakarta Authentication components that behave in this way. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.0-M26, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.30, from 9.0.0-M1 through 9.0.95. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.0, 10.1.31 or 9.0.96, which fix the issue.
Incorrect object re-cycling and re-use vulnerability in Apache Tomcat. Incorrect recycling of the request and response used by HTTP/2 requests could lead to request and/or response mix-up between users. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M23 through 11.0.0-M26, from 10.1.27 through 10.1.30, from 9.0.92 through 9.0.95. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.0, 10.1.31 or 9.0.96, which fixes the issue.
Ubuntu Security Notice 7049-2 - USN-7049-1 fixed vulnerabilities in PHP. This update provides the corresponding updates for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. It was discovered that PHP incorrectly handled parsing multipart form data. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to inject payloads and cause PHP to ignore legitimate data.
Apache Airflow versions before 2.10.3 contain a vulnerability that could expose sensitive configuration variables in task logs. This vulnerability allows DAG authors to unintentionally or intentionally log sensitive configuration variables. Unauthorized users could access these logs, potentially exposing critical data that could be exploited to compromise the security of the Airflow deployment. In version 2.10.3, secrets are now masked in task logs to prevent sensitive configuration variables from being exposed in the logging output. Users should upgrade to Airflow 2.10.3 or the latest version to eliminate this vulnerability. If you suspect that DAG authors could have logged the secret values to the logs and that your logs are not additionally protected, it is also recommended that you update those secrets.
Siemens Energy Omnivise T3000 version 8.2 SP3 suffers from local privilege escalation, cleartext storage of passwords in configuration and log files, file system access allowing for arbitrary file download, and IP whitelist bypass.
Red Hat Security Advisory 2024-9571-03 - Streams for Apache Kafka 2.8.0 is now available from the Red Hat Customer Portal. Issues addressed include denial of service and man-in-the-middle vulnerabilities.
