The security vulnerability tracked as CVE-2024-50603, which rates 10 out of 10 on the CVSS scale, enables unauthenticated remote code execution on affected systems, which cyberattackers are using to plant malware.
### Summary The issue was identified during Quarkslab's security audit on the Certificate Revocation List (CRL) based revocation check feature. After retrieving the CRL, notation-go attempts to update the CRL cache using the os.Rename method. However, this operation may fail due to operating system-specific limitations, particularly when the source and destination paths are on different mount points. This failure could lead to an unexpected program termination. ### Details In method `crl.(*FileCache).Set`, a temporary file is created in the OS dedicated area (like /tmp for, usually, Linux/Unix). The file is written and then it is tried to move it to the dedicated `notation` cache directory thanks `os.Rename`. As specified in Go documentation, OS specific restriction may apply. When used with Linux OS, it is relying on `rename` syscall from the libc and as per the [documentation](https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man2/rename.2.html), moving a file to a different mountpoint raises an `E...
The ABB BMS/BAS controller suffers from an authenticated stored cross-site scripting vulnerability. Input passed to the 'host' POST parameter is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML/JS code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The fate of TikTok now rests in the hands of the US Supreme Court. If a law banning the social video app this month is upheld, it won’t disappear from your phone—but it will get messy fast.
The ABB Cylon Aspect BMS/BAS controller suffers from an authenticated blind command injection vulnerability. Input passed to several POST parameters is not properly sanitized when writing files, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary shell commands on the system. There is also an off-by-one error in array access that could lead to undefined behavior and potential DoS.
Mattermost versions 10.2.0, 9.11.x <= 9.11.5, 10.0.x <= 10.0.3, 10.1.x <= 10.1.3 fail to properly validate post types, which allows attackers to deny service to users with the sysconsole_read_plugins permission via creating a post with the custom_pl_notification type and specific props.
The ABB BMS/BAS controller suffers from an SQL injection through the key and user parameters. These inputs are not properly sanitized and do not utilize stored procedures, allowing attackers to manipulate SQL queries and potentially gain unauthorized access to the database or execute arbitrary SQL commands.
The ABB BMS/BAS controller suffers from an authenticated reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability. Input passed to the GET parameters 'name' and 'id' is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML/JS code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Healthcare organizations of all shapes and sizes will be held to a stricter standard of cybersecurity starting in 2025 with new proposed rules, but not all have the budget for it.
