Details:
It was discovered that the Traffic-Control Index (TCINDEX) implementation
in the Linux kernel did not properly perform filter deactivation in some
situations. A local attacker could possibly use this to gain elevated
privileges. Please note that with the fix for this CVE, kernel support for
the TCINDEX classifier has been removed. (CVE-2023-1829)
Gwnaun Jung discovered that the SFB packet scheduling implementation in the
Linux kernel contained a use-after-free vulnerability. A local attacker
could use this to cause a denial of service (system crash) or possibly
execute arbitrary code. (CVE-2022-3586)
Zheng Wang and Zhuorao Yang discovered that the RealTek RTL8712U wireless
driver in the Linux kernel contained a use-after-free vulnerability. A
local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service (system crash)
or possibly execute arbitrary code. (CVE-2022-4095)
It was discovered that the TIPC protocol implementation in the Linux kernel
did not properly validate the queue of socket buffers (skb) when handling
certain UDP packets. A remote attacker could use this to cause a denial of

It was discovered that the Xircom PCMCIA network device driver in the Linux
kernel did not properly handle device removal events. A physically
proximate attacker could use this to cause a denial of service (system

After a standard system update you need to reboot your computer to make
all the necessary changes.
ATTENTION: Due to an unavoidable ABI change the kernel updates have
been given a new version number, which requires you to recompile and
reinstall all third party kernel modules you might have installed.
Unless you manually uninstalled the standard kernel metapackages
(e.g. linux-generic, linux-generic-lts-RELEASE, linux-virtual,
linux-powerpc), a standard system upgrade will automatically perform
this as well.

A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux Kernel traffic control index filter (tcindex) can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The tcindex_delete function which does not properly deactivate filters in case of a perfect hashes while deleting the underlying structure which can later lead to double freeing the structure. A local attacker user can use this vulnerability to elevate its privileges to root. We recommend upgrading past commit 8c710f75256bb3cf05ac7b1672c82b92c43f3d28.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s networking code. A use-after-free was found in the way the sch_sfb enqueue function used the socket buffer (SKB) cb field after the same SKB had been enqueued (and freed) into a child qdisc. This flaw allows a local, unprivileged user to crash the system, causing a denial of service.
