An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.1.8. There is a NULL pointer dereference caused by a malicious USB device in the drivers/media/usb/siano/smsusb.c driver.
### Impact `FractionalMaxPoolGrad` validates its inputs with `CHECK` failures instead of with returning errors. If it gets incorrectly sized inputs, the `CHECK` failure can be used to trigger a denial of service attack: ```python import tensorflow as tf overlapping = True orig_input = tf.constant(.453409232, shape=[1,7,13,1], dtype=tf.float32) orig_output = tf.constant(.453409232, shape=[1,7,13,1], dtype=tf.float32) out_backprop = tf.constant(.453409232, shape=[1,7,13,1], dtype=tf.float32) row_pooling_sequence = tf.constant(0, shape=[5], dtype=tf.int64) col_pooling_sequence = tf.constant(0, shape=[5], dtype=tf.int64) tf.raw_ops.FractionalMaxPoolGrad(orig_input=orig_input, orig_output=orig_output, out_backprop=out_backprop, row_pooling_sequence=row_pooling_sequence, col_pooling_sequence=col_pooling_sequence, overlapping=overlapping) ``` ### Patches We have patched the issue in GitHub commit [8741e57d163a079db05a7107a7609af70931def4](https://github.com/tensorflow/tensorflow/commit/8741...
Integrated OT solution streamlines the auditing of firewalls for misconfigurations and conflicting rules.
# Microsoft Security Advisory CVE-2023-33127: .NET Remote Code Execution Vulnerability ## <a name="executive-summary"></a>Executive summary Microsoft is releasing this security advisory to provide information about a vulnerability in .NET 7.0 and .NET 6.0. This advisory also provides guidance on what developers can do to update their applications to remove this vulnerability. A vulnerability exists in .NET applications where the diagnostic server can be exploited to achieve cross-session/cross-user elevation of privilege (EoP) and code execution. ## Announcement Announcement for this issue can be found at https://github.com/dotnet/announcements/issues/263 ### <a name="mitigation-factors"></a>Mitigation factors Microsoft has not identified any mitigating factors for this vulnerability. ## <a name="affected-software"></a>Affected software * Any .NET 7.0 application running on .NET 7.0.8 or earlier. * Any .NET 6.0 application running on .NET 6.0.19 or earlier. If your applicati...
A potential security vulnerability has been identified in OMEN Gaming Hub and in HP Command Center which may allow escalation of privilege and/or denial of service. HP has released software updates to mitigate the potential vulnerability.
When analyzing the USB drive Verbatim Keypad Secure version 3.2 Gen 1 Drive, Matthias Deeg found out that the validation of the firmware for the USB-to-SATA bridge controller INIC-3637EN only consists of a simple CRC-16 check (XMODEM CRC-16). Thus, an attacker is able to store malicious firmware code for the INIC-3637EN with a correct checksum on the used SPI flash memory chip (XT25F01D), which then gets successfully executed by the USB-to-SATA bridge controller.
OPC Foundation Local Discovery Server (LDS) through 1.04.403.478 uses a hard-coded file path to a configuration file. This allows a normal user to create a malicious file that is loaded by LDS (running as a high-privilege user).
# Microsoft Security Advisory CVE-2024-35264 | .NET Remote Code Execution Vulnerability ## <a name="executive-summary"></a>Executive summary Microsoft is releasing this security advisory to provide information about a vulnerability in .NET 8.0. A Vulnerability exists in ASP.NET Core 8 where Data Corruption in Kestrel HTTP/3 can result in remote code execution. Note: HTTP/3 is experimental in .NET 6.0. If you are on .NET 6.0 and using HTTP/3, please upgrade to .NET 8.0.7 ## Announcement Announcement for this issue can be found at https://github.com/dotnet/announcements/issues/314 ## <a name="mitigation-factors"></a>Mitigation factors Microsoft has not identified any mitigating factors for this vulnerability. ## <a name="affected-software"></a>Affected software * Any .NET 8.0 application running on .NET 8.0.6 or earlier. ## <a name="affected-packages"></a...
The IP2Location Country Blocker WordPress plugin before 2.26.6 does not have CSRF check in the ip2location_country_blocker_save_rules AJAX action, allowing attackers to make a logged in admin block arbitrary country, or block all of them at once, preventing users from accessing the frontend.
After 16 years, the agency has implemented the software to cryptographically verify digital passport data—and it’s already caught a dozen alleged fraudsters.
