Nvidia's latest GPUs are a hot commodity for AI, but security vulnerabilities could expose them to attacks from hackers.
# Impact We have identified a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability within certain React components related to community members in the Invenio-Communities module. This vulnerability enables a user to inject a script tag into the Affiliations field during the account registration process. The malicious script is executed when the user creates a new community and is listed as a public member. The script is triggered whenever any user visits the Members section of any community that includes the compromised user. This can potentially allow the attacker to access personal information, such as cookies, of the visiting user. # Patches The problem has been patched in [v7.8.0](https://github.com/inveniosoftware/invenio-communities/releases/tag/v7.8.0). Patches also have been backported in versions [v4.2.2](https://github.com/inveniosoftware/invenio-communities/tree/v4.2.2) and [v2.8.11](https://github.com/inveniosoftware/invenio-communities/tree/v2.8.11). # Credits Thanks to [Twitter....

Digital sharing is the norm in romantic relationships. But some access could leave partners vulnerable to inconvenience, spying, and abuse.
Cybersecurity researchers have disclosed that the LightSpy spyware allegedly targeting Apple iOS users is in fact a previously undocumented macOS variant of the implant. The findings come from both Huntress Labs and ThreatFabric, which separately analyzed the artifacts associated with the cross-platform malware framework that likely possesses capabilities to infect Android, iOS, Windows, macOS,

A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the Web Research Retriever component of langchain-ai/langchain version 0.1.5. The vulnerability arises because the Web Research Retriever does not restrict requests to remote internet addresses, allowing it to reach local addresses. This flaw enables attackers to execute port scans, access local services, and in some scenarios, read instance metadata from cloud environments. The vulnerability is particularly concerning as it can be exploited to abuse the Web Explorer server as a proxy for web attacks on third parties and interact with servers in the local network, including reading their response data. This could potentially lead to arbitrary code execution, depending on the nature of the local services. The vulnerability is limited to GET requests, as POST requests are not possible, but the impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability is significant due to the potential for stolen credentials and state-changing int...
Ubuntu Security Notice 6567-2 - USN-6567-1 fixed vulnerabilities QEMU. The fix for CVE-2023-2861 was too restrictive and introduced a behavior change leading to a regression in certain environments. This update fixes the problem. Gaoning Pan and Xingwei Li discovered that QEMU incorrectly handled the USB xHCI controller device. A privileged guest attacker could possibly use this issue to cause QEMU to crash, leading to a denial of service. Various other issues were also addressed.
