Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Hop Engine. This issue affects Apache Hop Engine: before 2.8.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.8.0, which fixes the issue. When Hop Server writes links to the PrepareExecutionPipelineServlet page one of the parameters provided to the user was not properly escaped. The variable not properly escaped is the "id", which is not directly accessible by users creating pipelines making the risk of exploiting this low. This issue only affects users using the Hop Server component and does not directly affect the client.
### Impact ZITADEL uses Go templates to render the login UI. Due to a improper use of the `text/template` instead of the `html/template` package, the Login UI did not sanitize input parameters. An attacker could create a malicious link, where he injected code which would be rendered as part of the login screen. While it was possible to inject HTML including javascript, the execution of such scripts would be prevented by the Content Security Policy. ### Patches 2.x versions are fixed on >= [2.47.3](https://github.com/zitadel/zitadel/releases/tag/v2.47.3) 2.46.x versions are fixed on >= [2.46.1](https://github.com/zitadel/zitadel/releases/tag/v2.46.1) 2.45.x versions are fixed on >= [2.45.1](https://github.com/zitadel/zitadel/releases/tag/v2.45.1) 2.44.x versions are fixed on >= [2.44.3](https://github.com/zitadel/zitadel/releases/tag/v2.44.3) 2.43.x versions are fixed on >= [2.43.9](https://github.com/zitadel/zitadel/releases/tag/v2.43.9) 2.42.x versions are fixed on >= [2.42.15](ht...
### Impact OctoPrint versions up until and including 1.9.3 contain a vulnerability that allows malicious admins to configure or talk a victim with administrator rights into configuring a webcam snapshot URL which when tested through the "Test" button included in the web interface will execute JavaScript code in the victims browser when attempting to render the snapshot image. An attacker who successfully talked a victim with admin rights into performing a snapshot test with such a crafted URL could use this to retrieve or modify sensitive configuration settings, interrupt prints or otherwise interact with the OctoPrint instance in a malicious way. ### Patches The vulnerability will be patched in version 1.10.0. ### Workaround OctoPrint administrators are strongly advised to thoroughly vet who has admin access to their installation and what settings they modify based on instructions by strangers. ### PoC Below are the steps to reproduce the vulnerability: 1. Create a URL that r...
Ubuntu Security Notice 6696-1 - Yi Yang discovered that the Hotspot component of OpenJDK 8 incorrectly handled array accesses in the C1 compiler. An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a denial of service, execute arbitrary code or bypass Java sandbox restrictions. It was discovered that the Hotspot component of OpenJDK 8 did not properly verify bytecode in certain situations. An attacker could possibly use this issue to bypass Java sandbox restrictions.
Applications that use UriComponentsBuilder in Spring Framework to parse an externally provided URL (e.g. through a query parameter) AND perform validation checks on the host of the parsed URL may be vulnerable to a open redirect https://cwe.mitre.org/data/definitions/601.html attack or to a SSRF attack if the URL is used after passing validation checks. This is the same as CVE-2024-22243 https://spring.io/security/cve-2024-22243, but with different input.
### Summary Due to the improper URL protocols filtering of links specified in the `link.argocd.argoproj.io` annotations in the application summary component, an attacker can achieve cross-site scripting with elevated permissions. ### Impact All unpatched versions of Argo CD starting with v1.0.0 are vulnerable to a cross-site scripting (XSS) bug allowing a malicious user to inject a javascript: link in the UI. When clicked by a victim user, the script will execute with the victim's permissions (up to and including admin). This vulnerability allows an attacker to perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim via the API, such as creating, modifying, and deleting Kubernetes resources. ### Patches A patch for this vulnerability has been released in the following Argo CD versions: * v2.10.3 * v2.9.8 * v2.8.12 ### Workarounds There are no completely-safe workarounds besides **upgrading**. The safest alternative, if upgrading is not possible, would be to create a [Kubernetes admis...
Financials by Coda versions prior to 2023Q4 suffer from a cross site scripting vulnerability.
Information disclosure in persistent watchers handling in Apache ZooKeeper due to missing ACL check. It allows an attacker to monitor child znodes by attaching a persistent watcher (addWatch command) to a parent which the attacker has already access to. ZooKeeper server doesn't do ACL check when the persistent watcher is triggered and as a consequence, the full path of znodes that a watch event gets triggered upon is exposed to the owner of the watcher. It's important to note that only the path is exposed by this vulnerability, not the data of znode, but since znode path can contain sensitive information like user name or login ID, this issue is potentially critical. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.9.2, 3.8.4 which fixes the issue.
A SSRF vulnerability using the Aegis DataBinding in versions of Apache CXF before 4.0.4, 3.6.3 and 3.5.8 allows an attacker to perform SSRF style attacks on webservices that take at least one parameter of any type. Users of other data bindings (including the default databinding) are not impacted.
This Metasploit module exploits an authentication bypass vulnerability in JetBrains TeamCity. An unauthenticated attacker can leverage this to access the REST API and create a new administrator access token. This token can be used to upload a plugin which contains a Metasploit payload, allowing the attacker to achieve unauthenticated remote code execution on the target TeamCity server. On older versions of TeamCity, access tokens do not exist so the exploit will instead create a new administrator account before uploading a plugin. Older versions of TeamCity have a debug endpoint (/app/rest/debug/process) that allows for arbitrary commands to be executed, however recent version of TeamCity no longer ship this endpoint, hence why a plugin is leveraged for code execution instead, as this is supported on all versions tested.
