Ubuntu Security Notice USN-6260-1

Ubuntu Security Notice 6260-1 - It was discovered that the NTFS file system implementation in the Linux kernel did not properly check buffer indexes in certain situations, leading to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability. A local attacker could possibly use this to expose sensitive information. Stonejiajia, Shir Tamari and Sagi Tzadik discovered that the OverlayFS implementation in the Ubuntu Linux kernel did not properly perform permission checks in certain situations. A local attacker could possibly use this to gain elevated privileges.

CVE-2021-3798: SOFT: Check the EC Key on C_CreateObject and C_DeriveKey · opencryptoki/opencryptoki@4e3b43c

A flaw was found in openCryptoki. The openCryptoki Soft token does not check if an EC key is valid when an EC key is created via C_CreateObject, nor when C_DeriveKey is used with ECDH public data. This may allow a malicious user to extract the private key by performing an invalid curve attack.

DiCal-RED 4009 Missing Authentication

DiCal-RED version 4009 provides a Telnet service on TCP port 23. This service grants access to an interactive shell as the system's root user and does not require authentication.

CVE-2023-4694: Certain HP OfficeJet Pro Printers – Potential Denial of Service

Certain HP OfficeJet Pro printers are potentially vulnerable to a Denial of Service when sending a SOAP message to the service on TCP port 3911 that contains a body but no header.

CVE-2022-27224: Galleon Download page | Time Servers | NTP Time Servers | Synchronised Network Clocks | Large Digital Wall Clocks

An issue was discovered in Galleon NTS-6002-GPS 4.14.103-Galleon-NTS-6002.V12 4. An authenticated attacker can perform command injection as root via shell metacharacters within the Network Tools section of the web-management interface. All three networking tools are affected (Ping, Traceroute, and DNS Lookup) and their respective input fields (ping_address, trace_address, nslookup_address).

CVE-2023-0207: NVIDIA Support

NVIDIA DGX-2 SBIOS contains a vulnerability where an attacker may modify the ServerSetup NVRAM variable at runtime by executing privileged code. A successful exploit of this vulnerability may lead to denial of service.

CVE-2023-20042: Cisco Security Advisory: Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software and Firepower Threat Defense Software AnyConnect SSL/TLS VPN Denial of Service Vulnerability

A vulnerability in the AnyConnect SSL VPN feature of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to an implementation error within the SSL/TLS session handling process that can prevent the release of a session handler under specific conditions. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted SSL/TLS traffic to an affected device, increasing the probability of session handler leaks. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to eventually deplete the available session handler pool, preventing new sessions from being established and causing a DoS condition.

GHSA-q6mv-284r-mp36: check-jsonschema default caching for remote schemas allows for cache confusion

### Impact The default cache strategy uses the basename of a remote schema as the name of the file in the cache, e.g. `https://example.org/schema.json` will be stored as `schema.json`. This naming allows for conflicts. If an attacker can get a user to run `check-jsonschema` against a malicious schema URL, e.g., `https://example.evil.org/schema.json`, they can insert their own schema into the cache and it will be picked up and used instead of the appropriate schema. Such a cache confusion attack could be used to allow data to pass validation which should have been rejected. ### Patches A patch is in progress but has not yet been released. ### Workarounds - Users can use `--no-cache` to disable caching. - Users can use `--cache-filename` to select filenames for use in the cache, or to ensure that other usages do not overwrite the cached schema. (Note: this flag is being deprecated as part of the remediation effort.) - Users can explicitly download the schema before use as a local f...

GHSA-cpc3-gm2x-mrvp: Jenkins Tag Profiler Plugin missing permission check

Jenkins Tag Profiler Plugin 0.2 and earlier does not perform a permission check in an HTTP endpoint. This allows attackers with Overall/Read permission to reset profiler statistics. Additionally, this HTTP endpoint does not require POST requests, resulting in a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability. As of publication of this advisory, there is no fix.

CVE-2022-42299: Hotfix for Security Advisory Impacting NetBackup Servers and Clients

An issue was discovered in Veritas NetBackup through 10.0.0.1 and related Veritas products. The NetBackup Primary server is vulnerable to a denial of service attack through the DiscoveryService service.
