Node.js: All versions prior to Node.js 6.15.0 and 8.14.0: HTTP request splitting: If Node.js can be convinced to use unsanitized user-provided Unicode data for the `path` option of an HTTP request, then data can be provided which will trigger a second, unexpected, and user-defined HTTP request to made to the same server.

CVE-2018-18439: oss-security - CVE-2018-18439, CVE-2018-18440 - U-Boot verified boot bypass vulnerabilities

DENX U-Boot through 2018.09-rc1 has a remotely exploitable buffer overflow via a malicious TFTP server because TFTP traffic is mishandled. Also, local exploitation can occur via a crafted kernel image.

CVE-2018-16276: USB: yurex: fix out-of-bounds uaccess in read handler · torvalds/linux@f1e255d

An issue was discovered in yurex_read in drivers/usb/misc/yurex.c in the Linux kernel before 4.17.7. Local attackers could use user access read/writes with incorrect bounds checking in the yurex USB driver to crash the kernel or potentially escalate privileges.

Announcing the BlueHat v18 Schedule

Where did the summer go? This year the BlueHat Security Conference moved forward in the schedule to late September. Next year it will settle into a steady orbit of early October moving forward. With that change in schedule, it is hard to believe that it is time to reveal the schedule for BlueHat v18.

CVE-2017-12163: Samba - Security Announcement Archive

An information leak flaw was found in the way SMB1 protocol was implemented by Samba. A malicious client could use this flaw to dump server memory contents to a file on the samba share or to a shared printer, though the exact area of server memory cannot be controlled by the attacker.

CVE-2018-14403: security - Out-of-bounds memory access in MP4v2 2.0.0

MP4NameFirstMatches in mp4util.cpp in MP4v2 2.0.0 mishandles substrings of atom names, leading to use of an inappropriate data type for associated atoms. The resulting type confusion can cause out-of-bounds memory access.
