An issue was discovered in Qubo Smart Plug 10A version HSP02_01_01_14_SYSTEM-10A, allows attackers to cause a denial of service (DoS) via Wi-Fi deauthentication.
This Metasploit module exploits a vulnerability in WinRAR (CVE-2023-38831). When a user opens a crafted RAR file and its embedded document, the decoy document is executed, leading to code execution.
## Issue On March 17th the vulnerability [CVE-2023-28115 was disclosed](https://github.com/KnpLabs/snappy/security/advisories/GHSA-gq6w-q6wh-jggc), allowing an attacker to gain remote code execution through PHAR deserialization. To fix this issue, the version 1.4.2 was released with an additional check in the affected function to prevent the usage of the `phar://` wrapper. However, because PHP wrappers are case-insensitive and the patch only checks the presence of the `phar://` string, it can be bypassed to achieve remote code execution again using a different case. As for the initial vulnerability, PHP 7 or below is required for a successful exploitation using the deserialization of PHP archives metadata via the `phar://` wrapper. ## Technical details ### Description The following [patch](https://github.com/KnpLabs/snappy/commit/1ee6360cbdbea5d09705909a150df7963a88efd6) was committed on the 1.4.2 release to fix CVE-2023-28115. ![patch](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/1...
SearchBlox before Version 9.1 is vulnerable to cross-origin resource sharing misconfiguration.
knplabs/knp-snappy is a PHP library allowing thumbnail, snapshot or PDF generation from a url or a html page. ## Issue On March 17th the vulnerability CVE-2023-28115 was disclosed, allowing an attacker to gain remote code execution through PHAR deserialization. Version 1.4.2 added a check `if (\strpos($filename, 'phar://') === 0)` in the `prepareOutput` function to resolve this CVE, however if the user is able to control the second parameter of the `generateFromHtml()` function of Snappy, it will then be passed as the `$filename` parameter in the `prepareOutput()` function. In the original vulnerability, a file name with a `phar://` wrapper could be sent to the `fileExists()` function, equivalent to the `file_exists()` PHP function. This allowed users to trigger a deserialization on arbitrary PHAR files. To fix this issue, the string is now passed to the `strpos()` function and if it starts with `phar://`, an exception is raised. However, PHP wrappers being case insensitive, this patc...
Chatbots like Open AI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard are vulnerable to indirect prompt injection attacks. Security researchers say the holes can be plugged—sort of.
Cacti is an open source operational monitoring and fault management framework. Affected versions are subject to a privilege escalation vulnerability. A low-privileged OS user with access to a Windows host where Cacti is installed can create arbitrary PHP files in a web document directory. The user can then execute the PHP files under the security context of SYSTEM. This allows an attacker to escalate privilege from a normal user account to SYSTEM. This issue has been addressed in version 1.2.25. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
Cuppa CMS v1.0 was discovered to contain a remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability via the email_outgoing parameter at /Configuration.php. This vulnerability is triggered via a crafted payload.
Stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in Map setting page of VI Web Client prior to 7.9.6 allows a remote authenticated attacker to inject an arbitrary script.
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Yongyou UFIDA-NC up to 20230807. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file PrintTemplateFileServlet.java. The manipulation of the argument filePath leads to path traversal. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The identifier VDB-238637 was assigned to this vulnerability.
