Google has disclosed a nasty set of six bugs affecting Zoom chat that can be chained together for MitM and RCE attacks, no user interaction required.
The print spooler service can be abused by an authenticated remote attacker to load a DLL through a crafted DCERPC request, resulting in remote code execution as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. This module uses the MS-RPRN vector which requires the Print Spooler service to be running.
An arbitrary file upload vulnerability in the Select Image function of Online Food Ordering System v1.0 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted PHP file.
The Google Project Zero researcher found a bug in XML parsing on the Zoom client and server.
Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor in GitHub repository jgraph/drawio prior to 18.1.2.
But there was a substantial drop in the overall number of critical vulnerabilities that the company disclosed last year, new analysis shows.
ManageEngine AppManager15 (Build No:15510) allows an authenticated admin user to upload a DLL file to perform a DLL hijack attack inside the 'working' folder through the 'Upload Files / Binaries' functionality.
This report describes a vulnerability chain that enables a malicious user to compromise another user over Zoom chat. User interaction is not required for a successful attack. The only ability an attacker needs is to be able to send messages to the victim over Zoom chat over XMPP protocol. Initial vulnerability (labeled XMPP Stanza Smuggling) abuses parsing inconsistencies between XML parsers on Zoom's client and server in order to be able to "smuggle" arbitrary XMPP stanzas to the victim client. From there, by sending a specially crafted control stanza, the attacker can force the victim client to connect to a malicious server, thus turning this primitive into a man-in-the-middle attack. Finally, by intercepting/modifying client update requests/responses, the victim client downloads and executes a malicious update, resulting in arbitrary code execution. A client downgrade attack is utilized to bypass signature check on the update installer. This attack has been demonstrated against the ...
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Cardo Systems Scala Rider Q3. Affected is the file /cardo/api of the Cardo-Updater. Unauthenticated remote code execution with root permissions is possible. Firewalling or disabling the service is recommended.
Windows OS can be configured to overlay a “language bar” on top of any application. When this OS functionality is enabled, the OS language bar UI will be viewable in the browser alongside the AVEVA InTouch Access Anywhere and Plant SCADA Access Anywhere applications. It is possible to manipulate the Windows OS language bar to launch an OS command prompt, resulting in a context-escape from application into OS.
